Adieus to the 'SIR'... GOPICHANDER

This part of my life is the adieu(farewell) to the SIR.  Truly, he is SIR.

[Sir is an honorific used as a title (see Knight), or as a courtesy title to address a man and is often reserved for use only towards equals, one of superior rank for a person such as an educator. Eventually we in India, call every one..Sir. but thats nt the exact usage :)]
We, the students of  'cmfs-1' did farewell our beloved Prof.Gopichander on 24th Sep 2011. It was indeed a day filled with unbroken tears, halfheartedness ! But none of us showed it as our Prof is going ahead to reach greater heights in his life. Hence we told to our selves..'move on dude..'.
Of the few best Professors I mentioned in earlier posts, Prof.Gopichander is the one among such few. Anna durai, Raghavan,Asokumar and Gopichander sir. What makes these people 'Sir' is the passion they show in the subject. I don mean the others are not, but these few attract and grab your attention completely while the rest are still in the process !

What made me become his fan was the way of teaching. Also may be the reason the subject is one which I am actually in love with. He teaches so straight to the point and full of information. If needed, grills to the ground and explains us much better way. I felt that he has good experience in the field that he is teaching..stock markets. May be he wet his feet deeply in this, hence suggests us the pros and cons when teaching about stock brokers and MF,ULIPs. Also I could observe the depth of the knowledge he had in the reforms of Banking & rules of Stock Markets, SEBI etc. Hatsoff to u Sir !!

In the very first week of his classes I felt, if some body has to do PhD under his guidance..they are the LUCKY fellows. Becoz the depth of the subject and the knowledge u procure would definitely be awesome!! I mean it !!  The way he conducted presentations was not jus namesake,(though few took it so yet) many people took it as challenge..atmost 75% ppl :). Every one, studied in depth, atleast their topic. I liked this idea that went thru out the trimester.

Not just me, many people like his teaching. Its not for the marks he gives you, also students respect him alot. Being simple itself is his style. He doesn't beat around the bush, unlike others, when he wants to explain a topic. In our friend Deepak's words: "It's indeed a big loss for us....a big salute to the great man....GOPI sir. I'm glad to have been in his classes and learnt quite a lot...wish i could have bargained for more...Leavin' that bitterness aside at least for now, I just wish him all SUCCESS and PEACE in all his endeavors.."

In fact he looks very smart and most of the female students like him :D. He doesn't knew that many girls were speaking abt his cool yellow shirt(formals) and he was looking so smart !! These are not jokes in fact compliments for the favorite Prof.

These kind of fan following made us give a wonderful farewell initiated and mostly executed by Karkuzhali! Thanks Kar. Thanks to Kushboo for purchasing the painting of 'Tanjavore Saraswathi Ma' and Archies card, the very moment the idea flashed in Kar's mind :) Also thanks to all people who supported this small yet good farewell. Thanks Siva for the pics. Last bt nt the least Thanks to Anjali who had been CR for this batch, whom Gopi sir would always remember!!

No matter what, we all were happy that at least one trimester we were his students. Also requested him if he could come as guest faculty :P
