India wide TCS 2012 drive starts at VITBS !!

TCS has arrived in VIT on Aug 12 to recruit MBAs. Its prestigious as VITBS is the first one in this 2011-12 recruitment drive, across India. The VP of  LSHC ISU, TCS-Chennai had spoken to students.
The salary package was the motivating factor i.e., 5.27 p.a. That's very good for a fresher, I believe.
We were nt told how many they wud be recruiting.


I have not attended the test, but many of my frnds did. The written test was conducted before 6PM and in that 49ppl were selected out of 246 people who attended it. Was very much shocked because most of them have done excellently good. May be the cutoff is 34/35 :(  Hence people who left even 2 questions were also not shortlisted (as hw the rest guess!!)


The GDPI was conducted a day later i.e., on Aug 13th. GD was also tough as there were 19 ppl per batch, which is not expected :(  Yet, my frnds tried their best out of which few of the rest had been selected for Interview. There were 2 rounds of interview out of which each panel consisted almost 4-5 interviewers.
They grilled them so badly that though student said 'I am nt in to finance' still they asked in the same :( (it seems)

At last 4 were selected. Congrats to Akhil, Karkuzhali, Vidya and Suresh reddy.
Last year out of ~100, 9 were selected. This yr students expected atleast 20-25, but they did only 4 :|
This is a shock !!

Ofcourse, at the EOD it was good experience for the rest too, to pass thru the phases of GD, for some more in PI too.

The rest, lets hope for the best.. !!
